I agree that the hotels tend to be very basic (not dirty but very small, plain rooms) and poorly located, and another negative is that they tend to only spend 1-2 days in each place so you will have time for the most famous sights and that&#039;s about it.

Unless you are very set on taking a tour you should consider traveling independently.  It&#039;s very easy to get around Western Europe on your own, even if you don&#039;t speak any European languages, and it would probably be cheaper than Contiki or another tour company.</description>
