Is there any problem to travel by car from Vilnius to Minsk?

I’m quite sure there will be limitations/troubles. First of all, not every rental chain in represented in Belarus, so you’ll not be able to leave the car in Minsk. (Or you gonna be returning to Vilnius?) Secondly (sorry for bad news), expect much higher insurance charges for this border-crossing action. Besides (which is probably the worst), Belarusian custom will be scrutinizing you under the suspicion that you are trying to import a car to Belarus, avoiding custom clearance. (Lithuanian car markets are among the dearest places for Belarusian buyers).
Solution? Lithuanian train to Minsk. Nice, clean, quiet and quite fast.
