Does anyone have any travel tips for Canada?

My friend and I are planning to travel around Canada next year and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for places/regions to go to and things to do.

Any advice about traveling around, where to stay etc would be appreciated, thanks!

My teacher said that American culture is poor compared to European culture?

And he also said that the Republicans are a bunch of weirdos. I am a student in Canada, and I think it is a bigoted generalization of our good neighbours.

What do you think of all this?

What is American culture? How would you describe it? How would you compare it to European culture?

Fine, compare it to EU then, if you think it’s better and that makes you happy. Or compare it to Canada. Compare it Sweden, I read some article once that said Sweden was a much more free country than America. Compare it to Britain. Compare it to nothing and just answer the first two questions. Whatever you do, please give me a decent answer. Thanks.

Travel tips and things to keep in mind about Los Angeles?

In 6 weeks I will be traveling to Los Angeles. This is my first visit to the USA. I live in Canada. Can anyone offer any travel tips, or just little things that I may not think of before we go. Things like, is there taxes on items purchased, inexpensive sight seeing, tips for public transit, those types of things. Perhaps areas to avoid and must see places.

Thanks, I appreciate the help!
