Poland chauvinist politicians are using Poland patriotism because they are doing business. Polish politicians say to look at bad Lithuanians and to fight for their rights but polish people are fooled. They are in such position when they are sitting in shit and are looking outside to search for problems. Propagating Patriotism is the best business for Polish politicians. The money will flow to your bank account. And all people will be fooled again.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, that the region is full of Polish newspapers that spill crap on Lithuania and its history 24/7. How more liberal can you get? Stop reading propaganda and provide some real facts.
What are you talking about? What violations exactly do you mean? The fact that the Poles can’t have ? or w in their surnames, because those letters are not in our alphabet? But then Lithuanians can’t have ???????ž in theirs, so we have EXACTLY the same policy on that. What else? Lithuanian taxpayer pays MORE for Polish schools than for Lithuanian schools – FACT. What else do you want?
@EUcitizenLT
You wrote that Lithuania should learn from Finland. I must completly agree with you!
In Finland 5,6% of population are Swedish. Finland respects the rights of this minority, and the relations with Sweden are good.
SO I STRONGLY ADVISE LITHUANIA TO LEARN FROM FINLAND HOW TO RESPECT THE RIGHTS OF NATIONAL MINORITIES. Better late than never.
@EUcitizenLT
Each country has external and internal activity.
Yes, we have a lot of internal problems, but we have no problems with our national minorities. We just respect them and let them exist!
We dont wanna be your leader, we wanna have normal friendly relationship.
What do you mean “All churches must be controlled”???. It sounds like a stupid joke. Are you scared of polisch churches? Relaxe, men. We live in 21th century, and you thinking and acting like 100 years ago!
Lenkai megsta mokyti kitus, nors patys yra ganrtinai atsilike lyginant Europos sajungos mastais. Toks mastymas man nepatinka. Lietuvoje yra 200,000 tukst “lenku” (kurie ne visi lenkai).
Polish people have this negative attitude to others. They have many problems and do not want to solve these problems. So they are searching for problems outside. Look at Poland – the corruption is very high. Emigration is high. Why they do not solve these problems?
When Poland will be number 1 in all statistics I will suggest to everyone Lithuanian to learn from Poland. Polish minority is used to damage Lithuania. All churches must be controlled. And Polish minority must be forgotten. Poland is not a strategic partner or something. All energetic resources Lithuana is buying from Russia. So Poland is just another big girl who is shouting a lot. Solve your own problems in Poland. Corruption is very high. There are many other problems too.
@EUcitizenLT
If they are Tutejsi, not Poles, so why they declare themselves as POLES, not Tutejsi. Can you explain me this? They know what they are much better than you!
I hope that one day some member of POLISH minority will become the president of Lithuania
@EUcitizenLT
I think that’s possible to be a member of the polish minority and a loyal citizen of Lithuania. Polish people living in LT are not traitors or revisionists! (OK, maybe a very small group, but remember that nationalists, cheauvinists and revisionists can be found in EVERY nation)
@EUcitizenLT
I repeat again: We don’t wanna take any part of your territory. The only thing we wanna is the polish minority to be respected. They must have their rights, schools with PL language, their organisations, polish churches (like minorities in Poland!). And they must have the right to oficially write their iames in POLISH speling. I repeat: Jan Kowalski is Jan Kowalski, not “Jonas Kovalskis”.
When you finally understand it, our relations will be much better.
I wish to Lithuania and Lithuanian people to learn from a true leader. The leader in this region is Finland. Other leaders are Denmark, German, Sweden and Norway. Estonia is in friendship with Finland and Finland have never occupied Estonia or do Finlandization of Estonia. Finland is a true leader and partner. And Poland is a backward intolerant Slavic country. Religious fanatics like Taliban in Pakistan is stopping all progress. I have nothing to wish to Poland. They deserve what they have.
In Poland there are many intolerant people who are religious fanatics. Lithuania has nothing in common with Polish imperialism and polish religious fanaticism. Baltic tribes where living in huge territory. This territory was near by Warsaw and Moscow. Slavic tribes occupied and destroyed Baltic tribes and only Lithuanias and Latvians have left today. Many Lithuanians where Polonized. Like Estonia, Lithuania need to be like Finland. Not like Poland.
Polish imperialism is not working anymore. And will be not working never again. The more Slavic chauvinists are attacking the more other people will fight back.
@kufel99
Take care of yourself. Read how your politicians are working or do something good for your country. “Minorities” will be fine. Treat that Slavic nature to teach others when you are in deep shit. Work and progress. All other will be progressing too. When your country will be the number 1 in the world the other will take your advices. Today you are just writing your propaganda abut “discrimination” when your Slavic chauvinists politicians are corrupt assholes screaming all the time.
@kufel99
1. In Lithuania there are polish schools.
2. In Lithuania live TOO-TEI-SHEE. True polish people left Lithuania after WWII or where killed in the forests. And more TOO-TEI-SHEE came from Belarus to Lithuania. So what special rights they want? All special rights are in Poland.
3. EU will not help because Lithuania is acting good
On day I will say that I am German! Give me special rights! I want to learn German, I want to have German name, surname. I want to go to German school.
Vilnius is very sad city. It is a city without soul Today Lithuanians represent generation of soviet, nationalistic lithuanian propaganda with distorted history. As Tomas Venclova said about Vilnius: “„ bizarre” city. I recommend to see “Union of equal countries and equal people” painted by Matejko” displayed in Museum in Vilnius until March 2010. It is helpful in understanding complex multi ethnic nature of Vilnius, Union and todays EU.
@EUcitizenLT
It’s funny that you Lithuanians are constantly scared that one day we’ll come and take your country. We both belong to EU and NATO! Today we don’t want the interwar borders to be back! We want your government to respect the rights of polish minority (in some areas polish MAJORITY), like it is in all CIVILISED countries in EU!
@ThePalnik, EU..
I think they should even now;). However yesterday I read article about polish minority in LT. Lithuanian government is discriminating Poles and breaking EU Laws, some of EU deputies are taking effort to press Lithuanian authorities to break this problem. Poles doesn’t have problems with German minorities in (for example Silesia) – they have special laws, multi language(Polish-German) governments, schools, and even road signs. Tell me, why lithuanian gov. is xenophobic? Cheers
@EUcitizenLT
I’m sure there is much more anti-polish people in Lithuania than anti-lithuanian people in Poland.

Polish Slavo-chauvinists must learn tolerance from Finland and Sweden.
Polish imperialism will not work because people know what to aspect from the Poland.

Wilno was always multilingual and multinational city, and I hope it will stay forever.
Cheauvinism kills the culture.
